    Anytime you come into SWEAT, you want to make the most of your workout so you can get that body you’ve always wanted. Sometimes it can be a little difficult because you may not know how to get the most out of your session, but, by following a few tips, you can take your workout to another level!

    Before you even begin thinking about stepping foot in the gym, you want to make sure you are giving your body the nutrients it needs to go the extra mile. In order to prepare for your next workout, it’s better to eat carbohydrates to fuel a workout like fruit, oats and wholegrain bread. Following your workout, consider drinking some whey or soy protein shakes to replenish your muscles. Often times these shakes increase the amount of amino acids in your muscles which gives them the building blocks they need to recover.

    Routine Mix Up
    If you have been coming into SWEAT for quite some time, you may be performing the same workout routine. While it’s not necessarily a bad thing, it might just deter some further changes in your body. Muscle memory is when your muscles get used to doing the same routines and this happens if you don’t change up your workouts. Mixing up your routine can challenge other parts of the body which can help change your body. Not only does a routine change up help your workout, but it makes your routine a little less mundane.

    Warm Up
    It should go without saying, but it should be stated: a good warm up can prep you for a great workout! When you are figuring out how to warm up, consider ones that match your workout because that’s where it’ll be the most effective. A proper warm up can also reduce the risk of workout injury and get you pumped and prime for your gym session!

    Working out can be rewarding and making sure you make the most of every visit to the gym is crucial. By implementing the above tips, you can get more out of your workout!
