I live in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Philadelphia with my Shiba Inu, Finley. I love living in Philly and am eager to connect with my local community in different ways. I’ll be teaching an Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga class, which is sweaty and vigorous. Students can expect to push their limits, both mentally and physically, and my aim is that they’ll leave with a refreshing sense of ease. I graduated from college, moved to Philly, started working and found myself leading a mostly sedentary lifestyle. I felt low-energy yet restless all the time. I tried a handful of different activities to build habits of movement and exercise. During this period of exploration, I went to a yoga class in 2011 on a whim. I never looked back. The yoga practice itself motivates me to continue because I see the positive effects it’s had on me ever since I began, and I know how much better I feel on a day after I’ve practiced compared to when I haven’t. I hope that my students will experience this as well. My teachers inspire me with their endless patience, knowledge, and support.
